Reno, NV/San Francisco, CA: Vacation - May 20, 2011 to May 25, 2011
Flew into San Fran, picked up rental car and drove to Reno, NV for a couple of days. Mary ran the Silver State 50K race on May 21, 2011 while Danny & Bill drove go carts and played mini golf. On the recommedation of those from Reno, we ate lunch at Bertha Miranda's - a mexican restaurant. Tasty food. Drove back to San Fran stopping along the drive in Carson City, NV (at the state capitol), Lake Tahoe, NV (for the excellent scenery) and Sacramento, CA (at the state capitol). Then drove to Monterrey/Carmel (for more scenery albeit in fading light) and then back north to San Fran for the remainder of our vacation. While in San Fran we visited Muir Woods, Fisherman's Wharf and took a Grayline bus tour of the city. Unfortunately, Alcatraz tours were sold out...have to do that next time!
